He could not stop laughing. Top down and everything. No SR20 because we were in the autocross car strapped into our harnesses and couldn’t reach our phones. Still, him not knowing they were a thing made for a good time.

I’ve seen a few. I have to admit, they are atrocious.

I see them fairly often in Philly but at home in the middle of nowhere I cant say I had ever seen one, let alone top down. But yes, they are atrocious.

Is it bad that I kinda want one.

Kind of but I entertain the idea of buying shitty cars very once and a while for the fuck of it.

I also would like to stance it. Mainly because i’m deeply broken and have no taste. It’s not like I would be ruining a car that handled well in the first place.

I live in Central PA (about an hour from Doug) and there's literally a dozen CrossCabs in my neighborhood. I can't go a week without seeing one, and I have no idea why.

From the depths of Oppo comes this:

Just a thought:
Buy salvage title or divorce Crosscabriolet...preferably the one with AWD.
Buy wrecked 370Z with intact transmission, rear end, ecu, and engine.
Buy stance coilovers and/or air suspension.
Horrible antics ensue.
Lowered, RWD, manual CrossCabriolet.

Holy shit. I love this more than I should.

Oh yeah. Because they’re based on the same floor pan right?

Now that I look at it more, it kind of reminds me of the Peugeot 206/207 convertibles.

Oh my god you’re right.

Like maybe a plus-sized version, with more heft, and curves and bulges...

I don’t know if the Murrano shares chassis architecture with the Z33/Z34 platforms, but I thought it’d be good to keep the powertrain in the family tree along with maintaining the same cylinder count.

No. I want one too. They’re so ridiculousness that it’s kind of amazing.

Late to the party, but my gf just saw her first Murano CrossCab yesterday too. She started explaining it to me like it was custom job that had never been heard of before. I laughed and explained how it’s kind of a thing here to make fun of them.
